Defeating Habit Behaviors and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Name: Defeating Habit Behaviors and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Date: December 7, 2017
Time: 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM CST
Clinical Psychology Associates, NAMI Racine County, and Burlington Area School District are pleased to have Dr. Mervin Langley and Dr. David Taylor share information about Defeating Habit Behaviors and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) in this FREE presentation. Children and teens often struggle with habits and “stuck thoughts” that cause them distress and interfere with their school performance. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a “hidden” disorder in the sense that many children and their parents don’t recognize that the worry, preoccupation, and self-doubt are part of a highly treatable condition. Through this presentation, Dr. Langley and Dr. Taylor will talk about the psychological and medical treatments related to treating habit behaviors and obsessive compulsive disorder and will help parents/caregivers in gaining a deeper understanding of what this disorder is and what they can do. After the presentation, Dr. Langley and Dr. Taylor have allotted time to answer specific questions that have been pre-submitted by attendees. If you have a question, please email it to Lori Radtke of BASD. They will try their best to answer as many questions as possible.
